Wings Over The World: Wings of Italy (Part 3)

In this aviation documentary from the 1980s the history of Italian involvment in the development of the airplane. It focuses on the Caproni family and their company which was responsible for many seaplane and bomber aircraft in the period between the early 1900s through Mussolini's Regia Aeronautica to the last decades of the 20th Century. This final segment covers Caproni aircraft in research and during the 1935 Ethiopian Invasion, and the continued development and use of the Regia Aeronautica during the Spanish Civil War then WW2. There is also film of the Caproni-Camprini jet early post-war Italian military aircraft, the Fiat G91 and the Macchi 326/339
